  2. Tessa Spencer Adams
    Tessa joined the ABC News 4 Team as a reporter in 2011. As a voice-over artist, Tessa can be heard locally and nationally as the television announcer for the "Gospel Stellar Awards" and "The Trumpet Awards." You can watch Tessa weekday mornings as a co-anchor of Good Morning Charleston and you can listen to Tessa on Cumulus Broadcasting radio stations 95SX, Z93, NASH FM, and Magic 107.3.
  3. Tish Volt
    Tish has created Bliss-a Spiritual Co-op where she had to stand alone at times and over long periods of time to create a thriving community where people can come and meet with like-minded folks and allow a sharing of knowledge and gifts with no fees for classes. They run over 100 classes a month. It is a donation based 501c3
  4. Queen Atterbery
    Queen Atterberry has been performing and managing in theater for over thirty years. Ms. Atterberry has been in the Charleston area for the past nine years and has built a dance company , author of play “When I First Remember” and is Director of The Arts Academy of the Impact Center Foundation a community base origination that offers performance arts classes. The dance company of Charleston has performed at Moja, Piccolo Spoleto , and with the DanceFX project plus schools, colleges and festivals in the low country. Ms. Atterberry has been feature in The Chronicle newspaper, City Paper and local media about her work in the community and her experience . She works as Engaging Creative Minds Artist presenter of African dance workshops and classes in the low country area and now will be adding film writer to her resume with her new production “When I First Remember”.
  5. Lynn Tally
    Lyn Tally is the founder of Go Interactive Wellness and the co-creator of The Deliberate Method. After leaving a professional ballet career at the age of 21, Lyn felt drawn to want to understand stress and it's effect on our health. After years of being her own worst critic, she realized that mindset and relationship to stress could make all the difference in the world to how life would feel – easeful or stressful. She quickly left her fast-track career as a performer and became dedicated to learning how to approach life challenges differently and share her knowledge.
  6. Anna Lenon
    Anna Lonon is a Visiting Professor at the College of Charleston where she teaches English. After attending USC, she married her college sweetheart, Michael Lonon, and moved to Charleston, SC. After four years of marriage, Michael was diagnosed with idiopathic head-and-neck cancer, eventually losing his battle to cancer on April 7, 2014. To honor her husband, and the children they had together, Jack, who is now 7, and Harper Rose, who is now 3, Anna created The Lonon Foundation. She recognized the need for a resource for children like her own who had experienced the anxiety and pain of having a parent or caregiver fight cancer.

  1. Brittney Hiller
    Brittney Hiller is the Founder and CEO of Brittney Hiller Yoga. Her mission is to inspire people of all ages, both young and young at heart, to boost physical well-being, create inner awareness and exude self-love through a mind-body practice. With over 6 years’ experience, Hiller has been teaching laughter yoga to adults and children in a fun, approachable, and therapeutic way.
  2. The Cocktail Bandits
    Tessa joined the ABC News 4 Team as a reporter in 2011. As a voice-over artist, Tessa can be heard locally and nationally as the Recently named two of Charleston's 50 Most Progressive in 2016, Johnny Caldwell and Taneka Reaves are the dynamic duo known around the globe as the curly-haired Cocktail Bandits. The full-time Charleston Ambassadors met at the College of Charleston, and now, with their booming hospitality business and self-titled Cocktail Bandits blog, promote female empowerment through advocacy for the food and beverage community from a feminine, urban perspective.
  3. Chef Laurie Erickson
    Extensive knowledge, a passion for health and wellness and an immense talent for inspiring others are behind Chef Laurie Erickson’s success in her 35 years of professional cooking. Her admired talents have been showcased at some of the nation’s top resorts, from the renowned Canyon Ranch Resort and Spa in the Berkshires of Massachusetts to the Five-Star Cloister and Spa at Sea Island on the Georgia coast .
  4. Sharon Robinson
    Sharon Robinson runs Wine & Canvas in Charleston, SC. She believes love is always the answer. She shares her art in classes throughout the Charleston area and raises money for many worthy charities.
  5. Chef Kimberly Brock Brown
    Chef Kimberly Brock Brown has over 30 years of experience within the culinary arena. In 2009, Chef Kimberly wanted to get back to basic with her culinary expertise and started Culinary Concepts, LLC for catering, demonstrations and other services.
  6. Katie Daehler
    Katie is a Holistic Health Coach and Yoga Instructor who specializes in coaching people on how to use whole foods, natural supplements, essential oils, and self care rituals to balance hormones, increase energy levels, improve sleep quality, clear skin, decrease inflammation, improve digestion, and achieve radiant physical + emotional health.
  7. Leann Ecker
    Leann Ecker is my name and designing healing crystal jewelry is my claim to fame! The easy flow and communication between myself and the crystals when they show me how they want to be situated next to another stone to help another person that they’re being designed for, is one of the most humbling and magical experiences I have on a regular basis. Since childhood, crystals and minerals have had a special place in my heart and in my homes. Teaching others and letting them experience the energy of my many crystal friends as I show people how to flow and not get caught up in your own box, is worth the wait and I look forward to the interactions and relationships that always stem from this gratifying field!

    Anastatia Ketchen is a proud Gullah Geechee woman from Charleston, SC. She is a mother, diversified artist, actress, poet, dancer, African Drummer and now a published author.
  2. Brittney Hiller
    Brittney understands the power laughter has to rejuvenate the body and inspire a youthful spirit. She enjoys teaching yoga and meditation to ages 1 through 95 and creates a learning space that is approachable, healing, and playful.
  3. Grace Collins
    I am 22 years old, born and raised in Charleston working as a full time cosmetologist; still writing as a hobby. Through the writing process of this book, I was a senior creative writing major at Charleston County School of the Arts. These pieces have earned regional and national recognition from National Scholastic, including two Gold Key Medals and the New York Life Scholarship. I received these awards at New York's Carnegie Hall.

    Sunita Hira was born & brought up in Nairobi, Kenya. She started her career as a high school history teacher.
